12 Days of Christmas Projects – Project #4
Christmas Project #4 - Decorating your glass
candle-holders with rub-ons.
I love the Glade candles that you can buy at supermarkets to make the house smell all lovely – this one was possibly Apple & Cinnamon or even Vanilla (yum)… I just let the candle burn itself down and once it’s finished, I sit the glass jar in a bowl of really hot water to soften the remaining wax and then scoop it out. Most times the metal wick-holder comes out too – although I have one very persistent metal bit that is refusing to budge! (I’ll get it!)
Once the glass is clean and dry, you can apply your rub-ons. The best way to do this is to cut around your desired rub-ons first, then hold them in place as you rub them. I found I had to rub fairly firmly and check that every part of the rub-on had adhered to the glass. But really, it was quite quick and easy to do this and it looks so cute! I’ve put a tea light candle in the bottom of the glass ready to be lit for Christmas.
Tee Hee – I have quite a few of the scented candle glasses, so I guess we’ll be having a few of these decorated glasses around the house come Christmas – of course, they would make lovely GIFTS, too!
Thankyou for visiting, I hope you liked these Christmas candle-holders.
