I really enjoyed colouring this image, and feel that I’ve finally “got” watercolouring. LOL. The trick that I find gives a really nice finish is to quickly wet the area that you’ll be colouring first. Keep it very light (don’t over-load it with water), and then pick up your colour with your Aqua Painter and use light strokes to brush the colour over the wet area. You’ll see the colour “run” and “bleed” over the wet paper and it gives a lovely effect. When it’s a little drier – which doesn’t take long! – you can always add more colour for more depth. I added highlights to the ute with my White Gel Pen.
I love that I could use the Loads of Love accessories to put “myself” and my “husband” in the ute. (On a side note, I’d just had my long hair cut quite short – chin-length bob – and the stamped image of the lady wass PERFECT to represent me!!!! Obviously it was “meant” to be!)
Here’s the inside of the card…

Tee Hee. (Shane, me, Laura and Ronan) I think this is why Shane loved this particular card *so* much! He’s always very appreciative of my cards that I show him, for his “consideration and opinion”, but this one got a huge response. I was quite floored by how he priased it. *blush* And to think…. the front of the card wasn’t even my own idea *laughs!!!*

Quick Card.
*laughs* Here’s a card that I made with absolutely NO STAMPS! *GASP*
The story behind this card is that my darling husband was clearing up in the spare room and my large tub of stamps was waaaay at the back of the pile of ’stuff’ that he’d pulled out so that he could re-stack it in the new shelving he’d made. Don’t you just HATE it how everything has to get messier before it can get tidy? Anyway, I was DESPERATE for some card-making that day, and all I had with me were some supplies on the table from my last venture that I hadn’t got around to putting away. All my stamps were in the spare room! AHHHH! The Agony!!!
Well, I just had to get creative instead:

I used Kraft C/S as my base, with some Outlaw Designer Series Paper and some punched stars in DSP and co-ordinating C/S. Add a little paper piercing, some inking of the edges of cardstock, a Rub-On that I felt matched the feel of the card, and Ta Daaa! One card!
But it was nice to be able to get to my stamps again, once the room was tidied up again. *hugs them lovingly*
