Altered Tins

Thanks to some wonderful inspiration from Christine Rowland in our Stampin’ Up! Team, I have now created two altered tins of my own.

The first used to be a Milo Tin, but I much prefer it now. :o)

I’ve wrapped the spotty paper from Jersey Shore Designer Series paper around the tin and adhered it with Snail Adhesive. I’ve stamped images from Wild About You in Tempting Turquoise, Not Quite Navy and Pumpkin Pie onto Whisper White cardstock and trimmed carefully around them. Use Dimensionals to adhere randomly on the tin. I’ve tied a strip of Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon around the upper area of the tin. Stamp the saying from Wild About You onto white cardstock and layer over Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

I love the bright colours of this tin and I use it for my pens for my Stampin’ Up! Workshops. My guests are always amazed to see how versatile Stampin’ Up! products are! You could easily use this to tidy up a child’s desk or have a collection of them for various bits and bobs in a child’s room.

This next tin was made from an Instant Gravy tin. LOL!!! Same process but with different colours. :o)

I love the sparkly of the Glitter on this tin! So Christmassy and pretty. You can use this for your Christmas goodies on the dining table at Christmas, or like I have done, for your Candy Canes.

These altered tins are *SO* easy to make and very, very quick. I have used the 2 way glue pen to draw the swirls and then cover with glitter – it’s the simplest way to add BLING!

Why not have a go yourself and see what you can come up with?
